The best skincare products for winter
In winter, the skin needs special care, to be pampered and protected against low temperatures.
The best cosmetics for cold weather are generally those with a nourishing formula, rich in nutrients and with a texture that prevents the skin from drying out and flaking. Let’s see what we choose to use for each part of the body, because not only the face needs to be protected.
For the face
The weather is now perfect for scrubbing, because the season of sometimes abusive sun exposure has passed. By exfoliating the skin, the dead cells are removed, leaving behind a new, beautiful and velvety skin. So make sure you have a cleansing product with an exfoliating effect in your care kit, with which you can treat your skin during the cold season. It is ideal now to start or continue, if you have already started in the fall, treatments with active substances such as vitamin A (tretinoin, retinol), and vitamin C (L-ascorbic acid), compounds that act in depth, stimulating the production of natural collagen and restoring the skin’s firmness and youthful appearance.
For the hands
Do not expose yourself to the cold without first pampering your hands with an emollient cream that will quickly penetrate the skin and protect it for a long time. Keep one in your bag to repeat the application after each hand wash or after using the disinfectant hand-gel. We recommend a richly textured hand butter with an enticing scent, enriched with passion fruit oil and vitamin C.
For the body
The skin on your body, although more protected from cold and dehydration than the face or hands, also needs extra attention in the cold season. Twice a week exfoliate it with a gentle body scrub, which does its job of removing dead cells while giving it nourishment and hydration. After the shower, "get dressed" in a protective, nourishing and comfortable layer of body cream with increased moisturizing power, enriched with vitamin E and Omega 3, 6 and 9 fatty acids.
For the feet
Now is the time to win the fight against cracked heels and rough skin! Before going to bed, generously massage your feet with an intensely moisturizing foot butter, without removing the excess. Then put on cotton socks, which you should not take off overnight, and in the morning you will find that the skin on the heels and soles is softer and velvety.
