Seasonal care for sensitive skin

Sensitive skin reddens badly in the cold, gets irritated, stings and then reacts unpleasantly to the action of cosmetics. Here’s how to take care of it and pamper it in the winter.

If you have thin skin, with a fine texture, you find it difficult to find a cream to "get along" with, and the temperature changes are a nightmare for your skin, you probably already know that you have sensitive skin. It is a non-pathological, but annoying condition that many people suffer from, especially people who live in the city, in a polluted environment or who work in extreme temperatures or are constantly exposed to irritating chemicals.
In winter, sensitive skin suffers from cold, due to sudden changes from hot to cold and vice versa, and requires careful care. Here’s what might help you:
Avoid overly spicy foods, which can cause rashes, and drink, in small sips, at least two liters of water daily, for good skin hydration that will be more resistant to irritation.
Use cosmetics dedicated to sensitive skin, which do not contain irritants and perfume;
Cleanse the face in the morning and evening a product with a delicate action, which removes impurities without dehydrating the skin, and avoids wiping with a towel that is too harsh;
Before applying any cosmetic or makeup product, test it on a small area of skin. If your skin gets irritated and itches, drop it without second thoughts!
Once a week, apply a nourishing mask. It can also be home made: mix a tablespoon of cream with five drops of lemon. Leave the mask on for ten minutes and then rinse with warm water.
Even if it’s the season of the sun with teeth, choose a day cream with SPF for the care of sensitive skin, which will protect the skin from irritations and even possible burns: don’t underestimate the power of UVA / UVB rays even in winter!
